Alexander Betts is a British academic and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for External Engagement, Sport, and Community at the University of Oxford. He is the Leopold Muller Professor of Forced Migration and International Affairs, William Golding Senior Fellow in Politics at Brasenose College, and Associate Head of Oxford’s Social Sciences Division.
His research focuses on the political economy of refugee protection, migration governance, and humanitarianism, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.
