Alex Budak is a social entrepreneur, bestselling author, and award-winning faculty member at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and School of Public Health. He empowers individuals, teams, and organizations to cultivate courage, spark change, and create impact amid uncertainty. A Silicon Valley native, Budak graduated from UCLA and earned a master's from Georgetown University.

His journey began in impact investing, helping Change.org raise $30 million, before co-founding StartSomeGood in 2011. Budak created and teaches the course "Becoming a Changemaker," blending entrepreneurship, leadership, and public health to foster mindsets for positive disruption. His 2023 book, “Becoming a Changemaker”, distills strategies for everyday leadership.
