Albert Tate is the founding pastor of Fellowship Church, which is one of the nation's fastest-growing multiethnic congregations. Before ministering at the famous Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California, he began his career by pastoring just a few families at Sweet Home Church in Mississippi. Tate and his wife, LaRosa, started Fellowship Monrovia in January 2012 after hearing God's call to build a church. This gospel-centered, multireligious, generational church has built a firm footing in the region for life change to the glory and credit of Christ in its brief existence. Tate is enthusiastic about preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ with both the local church and the worldwide audience as a powerful communicator. He likes expressing God's great grace and love in church, academic, and conference contexts, combining the power of narrative with a good sense of humor. Tate and his wife are the proud parents of four lovely children. Tate is a member of the Azusa Pacific University Board of Trustees, the Global Leadership Network, and Stadia, the Global Church Planting Organization. In 2018, he created the Albert Tate Podcast and was published in Letters to a Birmingham Jail: A Response to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Words and Dreams.
