Alan Downs Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and the former CEO of Michael's House. He has published several books most recently The Velvet Rage: Overcoming the Pain of Growing Up Gay in a Straight Man's World and The Half Empty Heart.Dr. Downs has over fifteen years of experience treating clients and is intensively trained DBT therapist.
