Al Bumbry is widely considered as the quickest player in Oriole history, which I'm not sure if it's accurate or not, and that's not really the point. With 252 stolen bases when he retired, he was Baltimore's all-time leader.
(With 351, Sisler holds the franchise record.) Bumbry was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia, on April 21, 1947, and attended Virginia State University. In 1968, he was conscripted in the 11th round and participated in the Vietnam War, earning a Bronze Star.
