Aisha is a Bahamian-American aerospace engineer, entrepreneur, and STEM advocate. Raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in a working-class family, she overcame a high school counselor’s suggestion to pursue cosmetology by excelling in a pre-algebra class at Washtenaw Community College. She earned a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.Eng. in Space Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Bowe worked at NASA’s Ames Research Center, focusing on air traffic management algorithms and nanosatellite missions. She founded STEMBoard, a tech consulting firm recognized on the Inc. 5000 list, and LINGO, an ed-tech company that provides coding kits to over 10,000 students globally. On April 14, 2025, she became the first Black woman to fly with Blue Origin on the NS-31 mission, marking the first time a woman of Bahamian heritage has been in space. Bowe has received awards, including the NASA Equal Employment Opportunity Medal, and is a U.S. State Department Speaker.
