Jordan's Ahmad Alhendawi is the first-ever UN Secretary-Envoy General on Youth. In February 2013, he took office. He formerly served as a Team Leader for the League of Arab States' World Bank-funded Institutional Development to Strengthen Arab Policy and Participation initiative.
He formerly worked as the League of Arab States' Youth Policy Advisor in Cairo and as an official in the Arab Youth and Sports Ministers Council's Technical Secretariat.
