Adam D'Angelo is the CEO and co-founder of Quora, a Mountain View, California-based online knowledge marketplace. He was Facebook's vice president of engineering and served as the company's chief technical officer. In 2008, he quit Facebook. He co-founded Quora with Charlie Cheever, another early Facebook employee, in June 2009.
While at the California Institute of Technology, D'Angelo competed in the Association for Computing Machinery's college global programming contest. In 2005, he was one of the top 24 finalists in the Topcoder Collegiate Challenge, an international competition. In the 2001 USA Computing Olympiad for high school students, he came in eighth place.
