ABBA is a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972. The members are Agnetha Fältskog Björn Ulvaeus Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The first letter of the names of the four members form the acronym ABBA. From 1974 to 1982 ABBA topped charts worldwide becoming one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
Initially the band consisted of two married couples but the success put an emotional toll on ABBA's members and both couples ended up divorcing.ABBA's hit songs include Dancing Queen Gimme A Man After Midnight Take A Chance on Me and The Winner Takes It All. The band's work features prominently in the musical Mamma Mia!
