“Dirty Jobs” Star to Continue Championing for Skilled Labor in the American Workforce

The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) is a non-profit trade association representing the U.S. cleaning products industry, including manufacturers of household, industrial, and institutional cleaning products. They have invited former television host Mike Rowe as their guest speaker at the Keynote Luncheon during ACI’s 2026 Industry Convention in Orlando, Florida, on February 4th, 2026.

Rowe is a revered television host, narrator, producer, and outspoken advocate for skilled labor. He is best known as the creator and host of Discovery Channel’s Emmy-nominated series “Dirty Jobs” (2005–2012, 2022), where he performed over 300 grueling, often disgusting jobs alongside American workers to highlight the importance of trade skills and hard work. Rowe spent years as a QVC host and narrator for programs like “Deadliest Catch”, “American Chopper”, and “How the Universe Works”. He later hosted CNN’s “Somebody’s Gotta Do It” and Facebook’s “Returning the Favor”, which spotlighted everyday heroes.

Since its inception, the organization has awarded $16 million in Work Ethic Scholarships.
