Kevin Harrington, the American entrepreneur and television personality, best known as one of the original “Sharks” on ABC’s Emmy-winning show “Shark Tank” from 2009 to 2012 has been chosen as the keynote speaker for the third year in a row for the Xcelerator Business Summit (XBS25) taking place at The Matrix Club in Naperville, Illinois on October 7-8, 2025. Harrington pioneered the modern infomercial format in 1985 by capitalizing on cable TV’s off-peak hours, revolutionizing direct-response advertising. He launched over 500 products, generating more than $5 billion in global sales, including iconic items like the Food Saver, Ginsu Knives, and those endorsed by celebrities such as George Foreman, Tony Little, and Jack LaLanne. He also co-founded the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and the Electronic Retailing Association, served as CEO of companies like TVGoods and HSN Direct International, and held executive roles at As Seen on TV, Inc. A prolific author and consultant, Harrington advises startups on scaling through digital marketing, manufacturing, and distribution in over 100 countries.
