Sam Jacobs, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pavilion, started his private membership community for senior go-to-market executives a little over a decade ago. He is best known for his seminal 1991 book “Crossing the Chasm”, which has sold over a million copies, been translated into more than a dozen languages, and remains required reading in many business schools.

GTM 2026 will bring 1,000 VP-and-above operators into one space for four days of strategy, practical application, and networking.

Moore holds a bachelor's degree in American literature from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Washington. He began his career as an English professor at Olivet College before transitioning to the tech industry in sales, marketing, and training roles. He later worked with legendary marketer Regis McKenna and founded consulting firms including The Chasm Group, Chasm Institute, and TCG Advisors, where he now serves as chairman emeritus.

Moore is widely regarded as one of the most influential thinkers on high-tech go-to-market strategies and organizational responses to disruption. His work focuses on the Technology Adoption Life Cycle, explaining the "chasm" between visionary early adopters and pragmatic mainstream customers. Other notable books include “Inside the Tornado” (1995), “The Gorilla Game” (1998), ”Zone to Win” (2015), and “The Infinite Staircase” (2021). He has advised major firms like Salesforce, Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe, and many startups as a venture partner and consultant.
