George Burgess is the Founder and CEO of Gojimo. Six years ago George Burgess now 23 was so unimpressed with the mobile apps available to help him study for a geography exam that he launched his own. A string of other apps for different subjects followed and Gojimo was born. The app now includes prep courses for the SAT ACT AP exams and the UK's A-Levels. Burgess has negotiated deals with McGraw-Hill Education and Oxford University Press and raised $3m from Index Ventures. Burgess dropped out of Stanford to pursue the business full-time.
